The Marketing Specialist is a champion for our customers, including our DIY, DIFM and increasingly our ProThey will implement integrated customer-first marketing strategies for the business across paid, owned and earned channels to help empower our customers to take on and complete their projects. They assist in coordinating campaign details across various internal marketing, merchandising and other cross-functional partners to ensure a seamless end-to-end campaign execution across all channels, providing regular updates to their 360 businesses to ensure visibility and alignment.  

Key Responsibilities:  

 

Campaign Execution 

  • Support detailed implementation and communication of business specific marketing plans to cross functional teams (merchandising, advertising, operations, etc) 

  • Act as the main point of contact for all category-specific advertising production consisting of campaign details, creative proofing and approvals among various other day-to-day responsibilities.   

  • Execute against end-to-end integrated marketing programs, ensuring timely feedback by adhering to our processes to ensure campaigns launch on time 

  • Support incremental campaign executions when new opportunities and campaign pivots arise to react to market and customer needs 

  • Update and maintain departmental marketing calendar and supporting materials 

  • Help to support The Home Depot brand values across all marketing content and communications 

  • Support additional projects for the marketing team as required

  • Keep track of competitor and market trends 

  • Become knowledgeable in the industry, business, culture and customer 

  • Review campaign results to understand key learnings for future improvements

  • Build close, collaborative, meaningful working relationships with key business partners, including merchandising, marketing, media and ecommerce  

  • Engage with peers and partners to foster different perspectives and collaboration

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:  

  • Reports to the Marketing Manager 

 

Travel Requirements:  

  • Travel to Store Support Centre for Hybrid days
     Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays in office.

  • Attend store walks as needed (Home Depot, Competitors and non-Competitors) 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Extended Sitting 

 

Hybrid Work:  

  • Hybrid  

 

Working Conditions:  

  • Working in an office and home setting: computer work, camera on virtual meetings, taking support calls 

  • Working in stores and/or the Innovation Center 

  • Must wear mandatory attire when required (i.e. Steel toe boots, Aprons) 

 

Minimum Education:  

  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma preferably in business or marketing  

Minimum Years of Work Experience:  

  • Minimum 2-3 years of previous marketing experience in a relevant role  

Minimum Leadership Experience: 

  • N/A 

 

Certifications:  

  • None 

 

Other Requirements/Assets:  

  • Advanced capability in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook 

  • Bilingual (English/French) will be considered an asset
