The Home Depot will pay 50% of the difference between EI maternity/paternity benefits and the associate’s salary for the entire duration of the associate’s maternity/paternity leave.
- Maternity – maximum is 78 weeks
- Parental – Maximum is 63 weeks
- Associates must be employed by The Home Depot for at least one year to be eligible.
- Top up - same rules apply as Parental Leave
ADOPTION FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE The Home Depot will reimburse associates for the costs associated when legally adopting a child:
- FT & FS associates – up to $5,000 (before taxes) per adopted child
- PT associates - $1,500 (before taxes) per adopted child
SUCCESS SHARING All eligible associates make extra money based on store sales. The more aggressively your store exceeds its sales goals, the bigger your semi-annual Success Sharing bonus!
MANAGEMENT INCENTIVE PLAN Eligible management associates earn extra money when our semi-annual incentive plan pays out a bonus based on a set of financial and non-financial metrics.
Purchasing stock through our plan is a great way for associates to build ownership in the Company. Receive an immediate 15% discount off company stock when you buy shares.

To support and encourage our associates who enroll in school to pursue a degree or professional development we reimburse 50% of college, university or technical school fees up to a maximum of $5,000 per year.
DEFERRED PROFIT SHARING PLAN Start planning ahead for retirement with a share in the company’s profits. All associates start accruing 4% of their annual earnings after one year of employment.
REGISTERED RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN We help you put aside for your financial future. Our associates can make voluntary contributions through convenient pre-tax payroll deductions and choose from a variety of investment funds.
