Job Description

Position Purpose:
Works through the requirements gathering, documentation, set-up activities, configuration, testing and user support for SAP application software. This position will also be responsible for hands-on work and under leadership of team lead will work in small cross-functional teams tasked with solving business issues. Will provide technical assistance for specific process and sub-process areas or assigned tasks. Responsible for understanding how to estimate, configure and leverage SAP functionality to meet core business process needs. Interfaces regularly with Business Stakeholders, IT infrastructure & Development teams, to ensure that business requirements are met through proper system configuration. Interfaces with and provides updates to Lead and Manager on a day-to-day basis.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Gather detail requirements from business users for approved projects and small enhancements to existing projects using detailed analysis techniques.
  • Perform design and development for approved projects and small enhancements to existing projects.
  • Perform program configuration/modification and set-up activities using specific HD process techniques.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance testing (UAT) with the Business Client.
  • Provide System Requirement Documents (SRD) and Systems External Specifications (SES) documents to the UAT and System test groups, to assist with testing scenarios.
  • Responsible for helping others and providing on-the-job training or guidance

Experience/Knowledge Required :

  • Must fulfill minimum time-in-position and performance management code requirements of V2
  • 1-2 full lifecycle SAP implementation experience in MM module including an in-depth understanding of integration with SD and FI. Understanding of ASAP methodology required.
  • 3-5 years of related SAP experience.
  • Functional configuration experience with MM -.(Vendor and Article/Material Master Data, Site/Plant, Classification System. Configuration, functional knowledge of SAP IS-Retail (Promotions, Retail Pricing and Assortment) preferred.
  • Ability to succinctly identify business requirements and document design
  • Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical Solution oriented, creative thinker
  • Retail/business experience preferred.
  • BS Computer Science or related field preferred
