The Orange Apron Media (OAM) program is the vendor sales arm of the digital marketing team, connecting our vendor community with data-driven digital media solutions to reach in-market DIY customers and Pros. The ideal candidate is looking to tackle new challenges and build business acumen through the development and production of innovative offerings. This role will allow you to carve your own path while delivering a superior program that is based on insights, innovation, transparency, and trust.

Position Overview:         

As a Senior Account Specialist for Orange Apron Media (OAM), you will play a pivotal role in managing vendor relationships and driving growth for the OAM program. Your key responsibilities include spearheading vendor interactions, identifying new opportunities, and collaborating with the sales team to deliver engaging proposals for managed and self-service program solutions.

In this role, you will lead pre-sale activities by gathering essential merch-marketing details to identify the preliminary requirements needed to facilitate sales conversations. Your ability to engage with the right vendors at the right time is crucial for unlocking growth opportunities. Additionally, you will oversee the post-sale process, ensuring timely production, and tracking campaign success to identify opportunities for incremental growth.

This role is external facing, requiring you to lead vendor conversations, provide insights into marketing strategies, and integrate these insights into consultative sales meetings. You will be focused on driving high vendor returns to deliver value and maximize incremental spending throughout the year to drive sales.                                                                                                               

Key Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                             

Vendor Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for your portfolio, fostering strong relationships and ensuring high client satisfaction. Understand each vendor's business goals, marketing strategies, and target audiences to tailor digital media solutions effectively.

Driving Growth

  • Identify and prioritize vendors for OAM acquisition throughout the year. Collaborate with the merchandising and marketing team to understand preliminary requirements and opportunities. Work with the sales and planning teams to ensure the accuracy of the portfolio dashboard in Salesforce. Upload contracts and track progress towards targets.

Communication and Consultative Meetings

  • Lead and arrange meetings, introducing team members, driving conversations, and managing next steps. Utilize insights to facilitate consultative meetings and productize packages to drive new sales. Regularly update vendors on campaign performance and provide recommendations. Stay informed on industry trends and innovations to enhance digital media strategies.

Campaign Management

  • Act as the central point of contact for all campaign activities, ensuring compliance with deliverables and responding promptly to queries or feedback.

Minimum Education:                                                                                                             

  • University/College degree in a related area of study, or equivalent experience      

Minimum Years of Work Experience:                                                                                                              

  • Minimum 2 years of marketing or media experience (retail, agency, tech, publisher, or similar)

Other Requirements/Assets:                                                                                 

  • Retail industry experience is an asset
