Askuity is a Toronto-based retail analytics software company operating as an innovative new division within The Home Depot (THD). Askuity’s mission is to enable suppliers and merchants at The Home Depot to make profitable, data-driven decisions and drive real-time execution.

As a UX Designer, you will report to the Manager, UX Design. You will work within a cross-functional team to design impactful products for teams across The Home Depot. You are a great communicator, passionate about producing top-notch work, providing great end-user experiences, and constantly improving your skills. As a member of the UX team at Askuity, you will help design, create and test beautiful software that has a meaningful and immediate impact on our growing customer base.

What you'll be doing

  • Identifying and solving feature-level problems with guidance from other designers.
  • Collaborating closely with Design and Product leadership to define features and contribute to the overall direction of a particular product area.
  • Confidently following a well-established product design process.
  • Managing multiple design projects and priorities in a collaborative team environment.
  • Creating usable, accessible, and modular design concepts that can scale.
  • Presenting work to design, product and engineering teams and synthesizing any feedback into meaningful user experiences.
  • Advocating for accessibility, usability, and inclusive design across the organization.
  • Working within a cross-functional team to ensure that implementation and user experience is of high-quality.


What you should have

  • 3+ years of experience as an individual contributor, on a Product Design team for desktop and/or mobile products.
  • Solid experience with the entire product design process, from research and problem discovery through to detailed interaction and visual design.
  • An appetite to cycle between broad exploratory work and focused iteration in order to improve on an established design solution, all based on evidence and sound rationale.
  • Experience designing solutions that enable complex interactions and flows across multiple screens or touchpoints.
  • Be able to actively manage your own time and reprioritize work as necessary.
  • Confidence to seek feedback from peers and colleagues on your own work.
  • A desire to collaborate and prioritize building trusting relationships to put the best interests of your team first.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
