Position Overview:

As a Senior Insight Analyst on the Finance Insight & Analytics Team, you will be the go to person for any data needs that the team has. You will be responsible for creating new data pipelines and creating structured data tables using your SQL, and python prowess. You will also be relied on to support The Home Depot Finance team with guidance on creating data tables and structured data in the cloud. This is a key role in the Finance team with long term growth potential.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable and efficient data processes/models on large datasets to create business insights
  • Partner with technical and non-technical team members across the finance organization and develop solutions that support project goals
  • Proactively work with analysts to understand data requirements and bring ideas to production
  • Ability to be flexible and responsive and able to perform in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data with a wide variety of database applications and cloud tools
  • Utilizing advanced problem solving skills to navigate unstructured projects that may require innovative approaches while taking into consideration resources, timing and other constraints
  • Tangible passion for continuous learning and development
  • Share best practices, learnings and innovative techniques with the analysts community
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in a large volume data analysis
  • Bachelors or Masters in Analytics, Math, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or Related Field
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, Cloud Computing Platforms (Google BigQuery etc.)
  • Experience dealing with large unstructured data and building data pipelines
  • Experience visualizing data for a broad range of audiences an asset
