Digital Guided Selling Analyst


Position Purpose
Reporting to the Digital Guided Selling Supervisor, the DGS Analyst will build digital products that are omni-channel user experiences residing on our website and in-store. ‘Guided’ selling provides a unique online shopping experience to walk the customer through the configuration of custom products (like Blinds), or custom projects (such as Counters and Deck Construction) in order to confidently purchase products to meet their home improvement needs.
Working from within the Ecom Data & Content department, the selected candidate will manage the respective execution from end-to-end. In this position, you will analyze/interpret performance data and run competitive + industry benchmarking exercises to identify new opportunities of how to engage customers and improve their research and shopping experience. The result of these efforts will increase customer satisfaction and site conversion rates.



Key Responsibilities

  • Build and monitor the digital guided user experience with a proprietary software application(training to be provided)
  • Using pre-defined, or newly developed UX strategy, you will plan the content structure of the experience
  • Collaborate and support Vendors directly to complete data and asset collection
  • Research competitors and best-in class online retailors tools to identify new areas of opportunity and emerging trends
  • Analyze existing experiences and understand new needs of the business and the homedepot.ca user
  • Present solutions, ideas and recommendations that serve the requirements
  • Participate in UI, UX, and related software workshops
  • Partner with UX and design teams to prepare mock-ups, wireframes and interaction diagrams that align with user needs and meet accessibility guidelines when required for project
  • Run quality control protocol and publish
  • Optimize and streamline existing backend processes


Experience / Knowledge Required

  • Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+)
  • Experience working in e-commerce with a working knowledge of PIM Tools
  • Previous experience with UX / User Journeys / UI
  • Tech Savvy; ability to quickly learn and become proficient in software and applications
  • Foundational project management skills including attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once and competing requests
  • Experience with User testing or A/B testing is an asset
  • Strong excel skills and an aptitude for data analysis
  • Familiar with Use Cases, Business Rules, User Interfaces
  • Knowledge on WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) is an asset
  • Team player with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • High comfort level with working independently
  • Education required: The knowledge and skills typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a related field
  • Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years
