Title:     Sr. Public Relations Specialist                                                                                                    

Position Overview:        

The Senior Public Relations Specialist (Sr. PR Specialist) will report to the Manager of Public Relations and Communications and will be responsible for supporting the team in maintaining and building brand trust through proactive PR and integrated media campaigns. In addition, support issues and crisis management. This role will require close collaboration with both internal and external partners. This individual will act as the day-to-day contact with public relations agency partners, ensuring communications are on message, consistent in their quality and delivery and measurable in their results. They must be an excellent project manager, possess strong media and influencer relations skills as well as superior written and verbal communication skills.                                                                                                                                  

Key Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                      

Actionable Deliverable

  • Develop and deliver measurable owned and paid media campaigns that increase public awareness of The Home Depot Canada’s innovative products, interconnected capabilities and corporate values
  • Provide counsel, plan and execute communications campaigns that support business objectives in collaboration with cross-functional teams and external agencies of record
  • Develop and edit various communication materials and for internal and external channels including pitches, corporate statements, social media posts, briefing documents etc.
  • Negotiate and review partnership agreements for content and influencer campaigns
  • Proactively develop and manage campaign timelines
  • Manage media training for consumer and corporate media opportunities
  • Respond to routine media and store inquiries, triage and support issues and crisis management
  • Support budget planning nearing $1M

  • 5-7 years experience in public relations, communications or brand management

  • Ability to manage and lead teams through deadlines and create effective workback schedules
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Availability to respond to issues and crises outside typical business hours (issues and crisis management experience an asset)

Le spécialiste principal, Relations publiques, relève du directeur, Relations publiques et Communications. Il aide l’équipe à établir et à maintenir la réputation de la marque au moyen de campagnes de relations publiques proactives et de campagnes médiatiques intégrées. Il appuie également la gestion des problèmes et des crises. Le titulaire du poste doit établir une collaboration étroite avec des partenaires internes et externes. En outre, il agit à titre de personne-ressource au quotidien auprès des agences de relations publiques partenaires pour s’assurer que les communications concordent avec le message à transmettre, que leur qualité et leur diffusion sont uniformes et que leurs résultats sont mesurables. Il doit être un excellent gestionnaire de projet en plus de posséder de fortes capacités en relation avec les médias et les influenceurs ainsi qu’en communication à l’écrit et à l’oral.

Principales responsabilités

Réalisations attendues

  • Mettre au point et mener des campagnes de marketing sur les canaux payants ou propres à l’entreprise, dont les résultats sont mesurables et qui informent le public sur les produits novateurs, les capacités dans le domaine du commerce interrelié et les valeurs de Home Depot Canada.
  • Fournir des conseils, planifier et mettre en œuvre des campagnes de communication qui soutiennent les objectifs commerciaux en collaboration avec les équipes interfonctionnelles et les agences externes de référence.
  • Élaborer et modifier du matériel de communication dans les canaux internes et externes, y compris des présentations, des déclarations de l’entreprise, des publications sur les médias sociaux, des documents préparatoires, etc.
  • Négocier et passer en revue les ententes de partenariat relatives au contenu et aux campagnes passant par des influenceurs.
  • Élaborer et gérer de façon proactive les échéanciers des campagnes.
  • Gérer la formation médiatique en ce qui concerne les occasions liées aux médias s’adressant aux consommateurs et aux entreprises.
  • Répondre aux demandes courantes des médias et des magasins; établir les priorités et fournir du soutien pour la gestion des problèmes et des crises.
  • Soutenir la planification d’un budget de près de 1 M$.

  • Expérience de marque en agence ou à l’interne, un atout.

  • Aptitude pour gérer et diriger des équipes en respectant les échéances et en effectuant une planification inversée.
  • Souci du détail et habileté à gérer plusieurs projets à la fois.
  • Disposition à prendre des mesures en réaction aux crises et aux problèmes en dehors des heures d’ouverture habituelles (posséder de l’expérience en gestion de crises et de problèmes constitue un atout).
