Job responsibilities

Owns and manages key functional areas and tracks the progress of multiple projects on the home depot’s Merchandising application platforms that support master data processes relating to Articles, Sites, Vendors, assortment, pricing and promotions etc.
Development and deployment of key initiatives in Assortment and Catalogue management supporting various internal technology teams requiring master data attributes
Delivery Ownership of Functional projects and technology roadmap projects using agile scrum methodology.
Drive technology roadmap and direction for our core Merchandising platform, exhibiting strong strategy, execution, design, and analytics skills.
Create and maintain a strategic roadmap for Merchandising initiatives, aligning with business goals and technological advancements. 
Build relationships across core technology teams and business stakeholders to drive business roadmaps and technology roadmaps in parallel. 
Project management and administration that include work plans, projects, resource planning, status reports, and preparing annual budgets.
Drive DevOps initiatives to improve collaboration between development and operations teams, with a focus on GCP-native tools and services 
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes in GCP environments 
Continuously evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance DevOps practices 
Resolves information services problems by analyzing issues, discerning the most appropriate courses of action, providing tactical direction and, when necessary, re-allocating resources. 
Conducts financial analyses to support strategic planning on system purchases, upgrades, and reclamation. Negotiates favourable prices with vendors on hardware and software.
Communicates status of activities with the team, peers, management, and end users. 
Selects, develops, and motivates assigned staff, annual goal setting and reviews of assigned staff
Ability to work both team-oriented environments with well-developed organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with problem solving ability.

Job requirements:

Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+, Meets expectation, consistently demonstrates).
 
Functional Experience

6+ years of Technology leadership experience in any e-commerce or retail organization.
Deep working knowledge of Merchandising Retail industry business processes is strongly preferred.
Broad working knowledge in SAP as well as experience in the SAP S/4 HANA Merchandising platform is required. 
Strong knowledge of master data management, standards, and organizations.
Must have Retail implementation experience, experience managing teams providing day to day production support of large scale projects after go live
Experience with cloud technologies, Micro services, Devops, SRE, CI/CD, web technologies (e.g., Java, spring, spring boot, angular, JVM etc.) & SOA/distributed applications architectures.
Must be technical, capable of working with development and software engineering teams
Must have IT Management experience with direct reports.
Delivery ownership of 2-3 functional projects and technology roadmap projects at a time using agile scrum methodology.
Project ownership from inception to full production release.
Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example.

Nice to Have / Optional Skills:
Experience with project delivery for large, cross-functional projects with large-scale systems of world-class availability, scalability, and performance requirements.
Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.  
Highly preferred technology leadership experience of Merchandising applications in any big box retail organization. Software development background is preferred.
Experience working with senior leaders to drive business decisions.
