Why Wear the Orange Apron?

Joining our Fort McMurray team means building a career with a company that truly takes care of our people.

  • Help build our culture from day one and be the first to welcome the community through our doors.
  • When the store wins, you win. Enjoy semi-annual performance bonuses, profit sharing, and a 15% discount on company stock.
  • We offer comprehensive medical, dental, and mental health support for both full-time and part-time associates, upon meeting requirements.
  • Advance your career with paid on-the-job training and tuition reimbursement.

Real Career Paths

When you put on the orange apron, there are no limits to where you can go.

  • Promoting from Within: It is part of our DNA. In fact, the vast majority of our Store Managers started as hourly associates on the floor, at the registers, or in the lot.
  • Leadership Development: If you want to manage people, we have dedicated pathways and training programs designed specifically to turn associates into Department Supervisors.
  • Explore Different Paths: Start in Lumber, move to the Merchandising Execution Team (MET), or transition to Customer Service. You can have multiple careers without ever leaving the company.

Giving Back

At Home Depot Canada, we are deeply committed to rolling up our sleeves and making a positive, lasting impact in our community.

  • Team Depot: Join our associate-led volunteer force to tackle hands-on community projects and help improve the neighborhoods we call home.
  • The Home Depot Canada Foundation: Be part of our nationwide, dedicated mission to help prevent and put an end to youth homelessness.
  • Local Partnerships: We actively partner with local charities and organizations to support the unique needs in the community.
