Overview:
The Regional Rental Manager (RRM) is accountable for running profitable operations of the Large Equipment (LE) Rental field team for their assigned Region. The RRM is responsible for and oversees the entire Large Equipment Rental, deliveries, operational efficiencies, staffing, training, development of talent, and profitability including P&L for their assigned region.  The RRM's primary focus is the growth and development of their team & business through frequent communication, strategic planning, and coordination with various functional areas within Home Depot.  The RRM is accountable for regulatory compliance and associate safety performance.  The RRM is influential in supporting the customer experience through quality routine maintenance of Large Equipment, and knowledgeable field technicians. To be successful in this role an RRM must strategically plan and align to balance priorities and multiple business partners, develop a team of hourly associates, and create a culture of customer service and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety compliance: 
•    Promote a culture of safety and support through leadership, accountability, and communication 
•    Ensure Ministry of Transportation regulations and compliance requirements are fully implemented, with prompt follow up and action on incident/accident/harsh events
•    Ensure driver behaviours and Samsara reporting is being reviewed and actioned in a timely manor
•    Collaborate with business partners to support all company programs, including but not limited too, LE Rental store walk checklists, safety training, regulatory compliance for LE Rental equipment, and Ministry of Transportation regulations
•    Responsible for continually maintaining all required operator certifications and licenses
Financial and operational execution: 
•    Delivers sales and performance metrics. 
•    Manages payroll and headcount of field technicians. 
•    Ensures all operational metrics including but not limited to, store inspections, lift inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment, on-time delivery and pick up, timely deployment and auction of equipment
•    Executes and optimizes overall equipment performance. Ensures team and self are providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers 
•    Responsible for achieving or exceeding all P&L controllable metrics  
•    Ensures team are following proper inventory management procedures with parts and LE Rental equipment  
•    Manage associate expenses and ensure they are within company guidelines
Leader of People:
•    Partner with Divisional Rental Manager (DRM) & Human Resources Manager to identify and address staffing needs. 
•    Develop associates and build a pipeline through succession planning.  
•    Execute training and onboarding plans for new associates 
•    Maintain communication with associates to ensure they are informed of new programs, policy changes or updates, and Home Depot strategic roadmap 
•    Conduct quarterly PACE conversations as well as ongoing performance management as required  
•    Champion growth of self and team using formal development resources
•    Develops and maintains effective relationships with business partners 
•    Establishes and maintains relationships with the PRO and Rental teams
•    Schedules weekly store performance walks with LE field techs, store rental techs, store leadership teams (DS, SASM, SM, etc.) and District Managers to drive Large Equipment awareness in region 
•    Presents themselves as the point of contact for LE Rental within their region

Travel Requirements:
•    Typically requires overnight travel more than 40% of the time.
 
Physical Requirements:
•    May include physical demands such as lifting (up to 50 lbs.) from the waist, lifting from the shoulder, prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, crawling underneath equipment, climbing on top of equipment, reaching, and stretching. 
•    Environment will require repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements. Occasionally, associate will be required to climb onto equipment. 
•    Working outdoors in extreme hot and cold temperatures; working around dirt, grease, fumes, oils, and chemicals; prolonged exposure to loud noises from engines, compressors, power tools, and equipment.

•    Various Home Depot store and owned locations
Minimum Education:
•    High school diploma or GED
 Minimum Years of Work Experience:
•    3 years of relevant work experience
 
Minimum Leadership Experience:
•    2 years of relevant experience
Certifications:
•    Valid Driver’s License for the province you reside in and good driving record.
Other Requirements/Assets:                                        
•    Must be 18 year or older.
•    Must be legally permitted to work in Canada.
•    Must pass a background check.
•    Working knowledge of handheld technology (smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc.)
•    Resides within 25 kms of target city or willing to commute to base location.
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft suites
•    Ability to communicate effectively of Home Depot processes to diverse audiences
•    Rental experience seen as an asset
•    General knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems seen as asset
•    Perform other duties as assigned
