GET Involved GREET When in the aisles, offer to help customers or find another associate to assist. Offer to take them to a product they are looking for by saying “Let me show you where it is.” ENGAGE Make sure sales departments have products they need to do their job. Wear an apron at all times. When you see a customer, stop tasking, make eye contact, and ask the customer “can I help you find something?” When taking freight to the floor, be sure to follow store standards and make sure that aisles do not get blocked. Thank Say “Thank you for shopping with us. We appreciate your business.” to customers leaving the store. Primary Tasks & Responsibilities:  Verify vault and key media counts from previous days sales  Balance safe and verify over shorts, increases, strips and till requests  Maintain cashier log and ensure retention SOP is followed  Ensure the Cash Machine is in working condition and act as the liaison with the vendor  Respond promptly to Head Cashier and MOD requests  Resolve customer payment disputes, double debits, left cash back, credit card chargebacks and lost credit  Make daily cash and cheque deposits  Log cashier overages and shortages  Maintain kronos system and report discrepancies  Process store and expense purchase orders  Resolve computer, cash register, self check out issues to reduce service calls  Provide friendly and courteous customer service to all associates  Inform management of missing media, sorts and overages  Train associates on Cash Machines, kronos and other store computer systems  Print and work reports as requested  Follow and communicate all Safety and Asset Protection standards and protocols  Other duties as assigned Key Skills and Competencies Customer Driven: Provides outstanding customer service (to both internal and external customers); follows through on responsibilities to customers; recovers from any errors made and leaves customer satisfied. Problem Solving: Reacts quickly and appropriately to customer problems; follows-up in a timely manner to issues not immediately resolvable; ties all loose ends.  Mathematical, accounting and computer skills: required to understand basic balances of safe and floats, deposits, shortages and overages  Attention to Detail: Concentrates on specifics despite distractions; catches errors before completing tasks; maintains high quality standards for his/ her work.  Adaptability: Quickly learns new skills, procedures or policies as necessary; responds appropriately to changing work demands; moves easily to new and complex tasks.  Safety Orientation: Follows safety policies and procedures; identifies and corrects safety hazards; encourages others to work safely. Physical Job Requirements Bending, squatting, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items Occasionally requires the ability to lift and move heavy and bulky items without assistance Responding to public address system announcements Requires listening for customer service calls, personal pages and general information announcements Walking and Standing Requires moving around the store to assist Customers Identifying and reading reports, tickets and UPC labels Requires recognizing, identifying and using merchandise and necessary reports Environmental Job Requirements Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the store, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing an uneven walking surface The warehouse environment can be dusty and noisy Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes Floors around work area may become slippery during wet weather conditions May have to handle merchandise and work with tools with sharp edges Passing forklifts emit gas fumes Tools, supplies and related merchandise may contain hazardous materials
