Sr. Data Governance Analyst
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Data & Support, the Sr. Data Governance Analyst is responsible to support the development of data modeling, and data warehousing with a focus on understanding or drawing conclusions from the data to drive operational decision-making within the Data Governance department. The Sr. Data Governance Analyst’s responsibilities may include presenting data in Power Point presentations, charts, graphs, and tables. This individual will be required to work with cross-functional partners to understand business objectives and issues then deliver insights that support a recommendation or solution.

Responsibilities:
  • Works with Data Governance Team and cross-functional business units to identify Big Rock data opportunities within the organization that will be leveraged to drive operational efficiencies
  • Leverage best practices to prepare insightful reports and presentations targeted for specific audiences
  • Trouble shoot and problem solve for ongoing operational needs as they arise
  • Works with large amounts of data to draw conclusions: rationalizing, facts, figures, and number crunching
  • Identify opportunities for improved learning through observation, analysis of exception reports and input from the data processing team
  • Facilitate process change with key internal cross-functional teams to proactively identify needs and resolve issues
  • Support initiatives to develop data management capabilities, with both internal and external partners
  • Process map current data processes and identify opportunities to streamline, as well as develop future state maps
  • Work with teams in the US to understand their direction and what the opportunity is to leverage capabilities and knowledge across the division
  • Lead the development of the data architecture to illustrate as-is and to-be designs that support THD strategic initiatives
  • Work side-by-side with IT to translate the business needs to our data infrastructure plan, including scoping out both enhancements and net new technology solutions
  • Mentor and provide on-going support to cross functional business teams
Experience / Knowledge Required:
  • Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+, Meets expectation, consistently demonstrates).
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree/diploma program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job is required
  • Must have strong analytical skills and an understanding of system databases, data elements, and application software solutions to maximize data gathering and data analysis.
  • SAP and/or PIM (Product Information Management) software experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of Retail Industry Experience required
  • Systematic approach to problem solving
  • Strong strategic skills, and ability to think laterally in an Omni-channel setting
  • Ability to create and maintain metrics
  • Ability to Influence change across cross-functional teams with the different levels of the organization
  • Strong multi-tasking and organization skills with the ability to flex and remain objective
  • Well-developed project management skills including exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills appropriate for all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage difficult situations with calm, patience, and respect
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to balance multiple priorities & manage time effectively
  • Familiar with website technologies is an asset (Hybris, SAP)
