We are the trusted finance partners working collaboratively to identify problems, find efficacies and drive results. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you are the key person influencing decisions for key business leaders through financial data and insights and serve as the main point of contact to provide findings and recommendations to our senior leadership team and CFO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the CFO for their business working directly with management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations and develop reports to drive the business

  • Providing thought leadership and recommendations for identifying and implementing process improvements in supply chain, operations, IT, accounting/payables and finance

  • Partnering with cross-functional groups to drive business actions through value added analysis

  • Applying creative problem-solving skills to build new and supplemental reporting methods

  • Preparing and present complex financial analysis in a meaningful, concise and user-friendly manner for senior management

  • Leading complex special projects / ad-hoc assignments

  • Sharing and implementing best practices among the team and the finance group

  • Responsible for reducing operational 'noise' and financial discrepancies to maximize profitability and ensure margin integrity across assigned general ledger accounts (P&L & Balance sheet)

  • Develop, analyze, and interpret monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, including variance analysis versus plan and prior year, identifying root causes and communicating insights in a clear, concise manner to senior leaders.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for inventory-related financial processes, including SAP/S4HANA data flows, GR/IR, aged inventory, write-offs, tariff classifications, and profit center/DC reporting.

Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • For internals, must fulfill minimum time-in-position (2 year) and performance management code requirements (M+)

  • 3 to 5 years of Financial Analyst/Financial business partner experience

  • A Bachelors’ or a Masters’ degree in Finance or Business

  • Self-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development

  • Superior oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and attentive to details.

  • Ability to influence others and build strong relationships

  • Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, analysis and reporting of financial data

  • Experience with Excel, SAP/S4HANA, GBQ, SQL and EWM a definite asset

On-site Work:  

  • Toronto Store Support Center - 1 Concorde Gate, North York 

  • In office Monday -Friday 

  • Travel: 10% to SFC, AVRO, DFC, MDO within GTA
