Position:
The Regional Rental Manager (RRM) for Canada west leads Mobile Service Technicians, and Lead Rental Technicians across Western Canada. The RRM ensures the execution and optimization of business objectives and operational/financial plans to ensure regional profitability and commitments to customers. This position requires extensive travel within the region.
Candidates must reside within the Region, preferably in the Vancouver, Calgary, or Edmonton areas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure all aspects of maintenance and repair service for facilities equipment is delivered within the framework of our core values, cost efficiency, compliance and safety. Execute the corporate objectives in a way that leverages the scale/infrastructure of the region, maximizes regional opportunities, grows revenue and profit, minimizes expenses, and engages staff.

Operations & Results Leadership and Staff Development
Customers & Relationships Strategy & Innovation
  • Monitor key business and staff performance metrics and engage staff for continued alignment with expectations.
  • Set the tone for team delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Execute technical performance plan in alignment with customer SLAs.
  • Effectively apply the performance management model in leading team.
  • Monitor service levels and customer satisfaction.
  • Work in conjunction with corporate support center for alignment with customer SLAs.
  • Manage staffing requirement staffing requirements in conjunction with the DVP. Review P&L with DVP and adjust regional delivery plan accordingly.
  • Visit customer sites. Spot check repairs.
  • Complete quality face-to-face performance reviews.
  • Monitor regional parts utilization. Identify highly used parts and confirm replacement requirements and root cause.
  • Ensure that company vehicles and equipment are maintained within company DOT guidelines.
  • Drive regional compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Promote a safe work environment.
  • 50-60% travel within the region.
Job Requirements:
  • Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+, Meets Expectations and Consistently Demonstrates)
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to effect change
  • Entrepreneurial drive and tempered business effective judgment
  • Experience motivating and leading teams through effective performance management.
  • Working knowledge of SLA agreements
  • Problem solving ability, including efficiency in determining solutions and communicating through proper channels to achieve optimal results
  • Capable of implementing best practices in transferring equipment servicing knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, including: influencing, presenting technical information to technical and non-technical audiences, reporting, and relationship building skills in internal and external environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to travel 60-70% by vehicle across the region
Preferred:
  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing, equipment maintenance or related industry
  • Strong maintenance, mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of light industrial equipment.
  • Previous P&L responsibility
  • 1+ years in a regional role
