Position Overview:
The Home Depot Canada’s Creative & Production team is looking for a Marketing Specialist, Creative Production, to help engage our customers through storytelling and strategic content creation.

As part of this highly collaborative team, the Marketing Specialist, Creative Production will be responsible for supporting the development of creative across Owned & Paid Media for The Home Depot Canada. Reporting to the Marketing Lead, Creative Production, you will partner on the project management and development of content to ensure flawless execution from end-to-end. This successful candidate is a creative, organized and results-driven individual who can easily pivot between competing priorities and always hit a deadline.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Develop production schedules, lead review processes and organize approvals

  • Curate product lists and organize transports for commercial shoots

  • Manage workflow between the creative agencies and marketing, negotiating trade-offs and problem solving along the way

Creative Development

  • Collaborate with creative agencies and internal teams on ideation and development of campaign creative (video, photography, audio etc.)

  • Participate in creative briefings and reviews with internal teams and external agency partners – collaborating with Marketing, Digital Production, Public Relations, Social, Merchandising and more

  • Attend video & photo shoots, actively participating in casting, wardrobe, pre- and post-production reviews

  • Contribute to content development efforts including but not limited to minor copywriting, mobile video or photography captures etc.

Asset Delivery & Ownership

  • Facilitate creative integration across owned channels and share creative assets across teams

  • Maintain a “One Home Depot” mentality; understand the key drivers for effective creative across our business and the synergies that can help drive efficiencies

Competencies:

  • Strong project management and organizational skills; works well in ambiguity

  • Teamwork, strong customer service and an ability to build relationships across all levels

  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines

  • Experience with video and/or photo production (pre & post) as well as knowledge of digital and social creative best-practices and channels

  • Strong creative communication skills, resourceful, organized, and detail-oriented

Skills:

  • Experience in marketing, advertising, production, project management, content creation, photography, or videography

  • Strong creative communication skills, resourceful, organized and detail oriented

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Proficient in Adobe suite and/or other creative development tools

  • Experience working with data asset management systems (ex. Aprimo)

  • Experience copywriting and video editing for social media considered an asset

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
• Reports to the Marketing Lead, Creative Production.

Travel Requirements:
• Occasional travel for video and photo shoots.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to participate in casting, wardrobe, and post-production reviews.

• Ability to be on-set with anticipated longer periods of standing as sometimes necessary.

Working Conditions:
• Office (Mon-to Fri), occasional on-site at commercial shoots or in-store for filming.

Minimum Education:
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum Years of Work Experience:
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience.

Minimum Leadership Experience:
• N/A

Certifications:
• Valid Driver’s License and access to a car considered an asset.
