Position Overview:

As part of the highly collaborative content strategy team, the digital content designer will support the digital production team in delivering high-quality, brand-aligned creative assets for media/ad production. This role, reporting to the lead, digital production, is focused on executing design tasks such as effective application of brand elements like logos and marks, building and adapting creative for various digital placements across onsite and offsite channels. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive designer with a strong understanding of digital media formats and social content best practices. Graphic design experience is a requirement however they must also have experience with copy editing or writing to be successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Execution

  • Adapt and resize creative assets for various digital placements (e.g., display, social, onsite banners).
  • Apply logos, overlays, and other brand elements to vendor creative in alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Ensure all assets meet technical specifications and platform best practices for digital and social media.
  • Support the development of static and animated assets using Adobe Creative Suite tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).

Content Support

  • Write or edit light copy for headlines, captions, and post text when needed, ensuring tone and messaging are consistent across campaigns and in alignment with brand voice.
  • Collaborate with the retail media team to understand campaign objectives and translate them into effective visual executions for various vendor partnerships.
  • Participate in creative reviews and proactively suggest design and copy improvements based on platform requirements and performance insights.

Collaboration & Workflow

  • Work closely and efficiently with the digital and creative production teams, creative services, marketing and retail media teams to manage asset intake, revisions, and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain organized file structures and version control for all creative assets.
  • Support internal creative QA processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across deliverables.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to own and apply brand guidelines.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a design-first mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Understanding of digital media formats and social platform creative best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on design decisions.

Skills:

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required; experience with After Effects is an asset.
  • Copywriting and/or editing skills for digital content is required.
  • Familiarity with digital ad specs and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with content management or digital asset management systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency in English grammar and usage with a meticulous eye for detail in proofreading and editing for different tone and audiences is required; French proficiency is an asset.

Minimum Education:

Diploma or degree in graphic design, digital media, communications, marketing or advertising or related work experience

Minimum Years of Work Experience:

1–2 years of relevant experience in digital design, graphic design or content production.

Valid Driver’s License and access to a car considered an asset.

Other Requirements/Assets:

Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
