Pay Range: $65,000 - $95,000

Position Overview: Open to applicants in the following markets: Winnipeg, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

   

Central Organized Crime Investigators (CIT Central Investigation Team) are responsible for the direction and support of prolific external theft and fraud investigations within a specified area of the company. The CIT ORC Investigator will work with various business partners (DAPMs, APSSs and APSs) and leverage all available investigative tools to eliminate and reduce company exposure to prolific organized theft. This role is open in the following markets: Winnipeg, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

                                                                                                                                               

Key Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                     

  • Responsible for the identification, tracking and reduction of organized retail criminal activity (ORC) within the assigned region
  • Consolidates intelligence from field investigators to create comprehensive bulletins for field awareness and communicates to CIT Manager to develop an investigation plan.
  • Measured on time to arrest for ORC groups
  • Analyze and review all POS and non-POS exception report data to identify potential ORC theft/fraud activity, identify new methods, as well as trends within the assigned regions.
  • Utilize information from systems reports and databases to identify and communicate criminal activity impacting company assets
  • Collaborates with field AP teams to build ORC case packages to be reported to local law enforcement agencies
  • Conduct surveillance according to the external surveillance policy on cases as required
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with AP teams, financial institutions, law enforcement, and industry partners
  • Leverage awareness of prolific organized crime activity to socialize awareness of risk and mitigation of risk through presentations, process documentation, and collaboration.
  • Maintain up-to-date investigative records in case management and SharePoint retention platforms

L’enquêteur, Gestion centralisée des enquêtes et du crime organisé, de l’équipe de la Gestion centralisée des enquêtes (EGCE), dirige et soutient les enquêtes sur les vols et les fraudes externes prolifiques dans un secteur précis de l’entreprise. Il collabore avec de nombreux partenaires d’affaires (directeurs de district, Protection des ressources [DDPR], superviseurs des spécialistes, Protection des ressources [SSPR], et spécialistes, Protection des ressources [SPR]) et tire profit de tous les outils d’enquête à sa disposition afin de réduire, voire d’éliminer les risques de vol prolifique. Ce poste est à pourvoir dans les marchés suivants : Winnipeg, Manitoba et Saskatchewan.

Responsabilités

  • Déceler, suivre et réduire les activités relatives au crime organisé – commerce de détail (CO-CD) au sein de la région attribuée.
  • Rassembler les renseignements recueillis par les enquêteurs sur le terrain pour la rédaction de bulletins exhaustifs destinés à la sensibilisation sur le terrain; communiquer avec le directeur, EGCE pour l’élaboration d’un plan d’enquête.
  • Mesurer le temps nécessaire à l’arrestation des groupes du CO-CD.
  • Analyser et passer en revue les données de tous les rapports sur les exceptions au point de vente (PDV) et à l’extérieur du PDV pour cerner des activités potentielles de CO-CD liées au vol ou à la fraude; cerner les nouvelles méthodes et tendances dans la région attribuée.
  • Utiliser l’information tirée des rapports et des bases de données du système pour déceler les activités criminelles qui nuisent aux actifs de l’entreprise et en communiquer les résultats.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes de la Protection des ressources sur le terrain pour monter des dossiers d’enquête du CO-CD à signaler aux forces de l’ordre locales.
  • Effectuer la surveillance liée aux dossiers conformément à la politique en matière de surveillance externe, au besoin.
  • Établir et maintenir des relations de travail harmonieuses avec les équipes de la Protection des ressources, les institutions financières, les forces de l’ordre et les partenaires de l’industrie.
  • Tirer parti des connaissances liées aux activités prolifiques du crime organisé pour accroître la sensibilisation au risque grâce à des présentations, à de la documentation relative aux processus et à la collaboration.
  • Tenir à jour les dossiers d’enquête sur les plateformes de gestion des cas et de conservation des renseignements dans SharePoint.
