Le préposé à la préparation des commandes contribue à la croissance des activités en ligne et au renforcement des relations avec la clientèle en obtenant la liste détaillée des produits nécessaires pour exécuter les commandes, en attribuant une priorité aux commandes et en les préparant en temps opportun pour le ramassage par le client ou la livraison à domicile.
 
Responsabilités 

Préparer, organiser, transférer et vérifier les commandes pour la livraison ou le ramassage.
Étiqueter les commandes avec exactitude et les placer dans les aires d’entreposage désignées en attendant qu’elles soient ramassées par le client ou chargées dans le camion de livraison.
Se servir du chariot élévateur approprié pour préparer les commandes des clients (formation offerte).
Se servir des ordinateurs ou des téléphones mobiles de Home Depot pour trouver l’emplacement des produits, vérifier l’exactitude des quantités en stock, et rechercher et préparer des commandes.
Stocker la marchandise sur les étagères et organiser l’aire de vente.
Charger les commandes dans les camions de livraison.
Expérience et connaissances requises 
Capacité à travailler selon un horaire variable de nuit, du lundi au dimanche (de 22 h à 6 h 30).
Connaissances en informatique et capacité à utiliser des ordinateurs ou des applications sur des téléphones intelligents.
Capacité à utiliser un chariot élévateur (avec ou sans fourche), un atout.
Compétences en matière de gestion du temps et d’organisation.
Excellentes aptitudes pour la communication et la résolution de problèmes.
Capacité à soulever des charges d’environ 23 kg (50 lb) de façon répétée.
Souci du détail, capacité à travailler aussi bien de façon autonome qu’en équipe, et motivation à effectuer ses tâches le plus rapidement et le plus exactement possible.
